We replaced two pot lights in our kitchen with pendants — what a difference. We purchased them from Amazon.ca, and they were here in less than 3 days! We could find them locally but the ones available locally were only rated to hold 5 pounds. These are rated for 50 pounds!

If you live in Arizona, you understand HOT! I love to sit outside, but I hate the heat…so, I decided to remove an old recessed lighting fixture on my porch and replace it with a ceiling fan. I’m a stay-at-home-mom, not an electrician, so I really didn’t want to replace the wires and housing. I was looking for something quick, easy and cost effective. After buying a competitor’s conversion kit, installing it and realizing it was flimsy and would never hold the weight of a fan, I went online and found Can Converter. After reading the specs and reviews, I decided to give it a try. Glad I did! It will always be hot here….but now I at least have a breeze! Thank you!

I’ve needed a fan in my kitchen for many years now but could never figure out how to hang one due to only have can lights in a 2 story house. I found your product on line and it worked great. I’m a 5 on the handyman scale and it was very easy to install and really changed the look and feel of my kitchen – thanks

“We tried two other “universal” can conversion kits that didn’t work for our job. Once we came across The Can Converter it was obvious that this was a much better quality product and it fit our job perfectly. We love our mini kitchen makeover with a new light and faucet!”

“I wanted to convert 2 recessed lights over our fireplace into something much more decorative. I asked around to see if anyone knew of any product that would allow me to convert these ugly recessed lights into something more decorative and appealing. I saw an episode of “Ask This Old House” where they utilized The Can Converter to convert recessed lights into pendant lights. Once I saw this I knew this was what I needed. With The Can Converter I was able to change out these fixtures in a matter of minutes without having to cut into any drywall. These new fixtures allow us to direct the light to where we want it for the mantle and fireplace wall. The Can Converter allowed us to get a more decorative unit than just the plain track lighting.”

“We had this ugly pot light in our living room. The Can converter was the only product that’s easy, convenient and aesthetically pleasing to replace the pot with a beautiful chandelier. It took only 21 minutes to install! Very happy indeed!”

“Slowly, we’ve been changing out the lights in all of the rooms of our new home. We always wanted a new light over the kitchen sink because (in addition to looking cheap) the recessed light didn’t put out enough light to be useful. But it was too expensive to hire an electrician and I didn’t want to risk damaging my ceiling if I tried it myself.
(Project: Pull Up the Vinyl Floor and Install Hardwood was actually moved up ahead of lighting because it was easier than dealing with wiring.)
Then my wife found you on the web. We figured we’d give it a try. My can didn’t have the 3 screw holes in a triangle, so I had to drill. I took my time and measured carefully. Your included self-tapping screws worked perfectly. In about 30 minutes, the converter was installed and I was ready to put our new light in. This is a great product and I will recommend it to all.”

“After buying our new home my fiancé asked if we could redo the bathtub area to create a “spa” like retreat. We redid the entire tub area in a beautiful wool like tile, added a soaking tub, and increased the window area but the space still lacked the cozy feel that she liked. After visiting a local spa it was obvious that the harsh direct can light was a big issue so I purchased your can converter and a chandelier. As a surprise for her I converted the canned light to a beautiful chandelier complete with antique style light bulbs in just a few hours while she was at the grocery store shopping for Christmas dinner items. It was a huge Christmas surprise when she returned from shopping and the project was all complete and cleaned up. That night we had our family over and everyone loves the new tub area. The final window treatments and a great Italian painting were added the next day to complete the project. Thank you for such a wonderful product that is so easy to use and helped me, a basic do it yourselfer, create the space of her dreams.”
